A separate product line

Handmade tiles,
pressed and painted by hand

Every tile is formed, glazed and decorated individually in our Khurja workshop. No two are identical — and that is precisely why a handmade wall looks the way it does.

What makes them different

Handmade is a specification, not a style

The differences below are the ones that matter when you are specifying a wall — and the ones worth explaining to your own customer before they order.

Painted one at a time

Pattern is applied freehand over the glaze ground and fired in, so it sits within the glaze and will not wear off with cleaning.

Pressed, not printed

Relief patterns come from hand-carved moulds with real depth, so the wall casts its own shadow instead of imitating one.

Variation by design

Line weight and colour depth shift slightly between tiles. Laid as a run, that is what gives the surface its depth.

Lay with a grout joint

Hand-pressed tiles are not identical to the millimetre. A 2–3 mm joint absorbs the variation cleanly.

Collections

How the range is organised

These collections are being built out into their own sections. Every tile currently sits in the range below.

Moroccan & Hand PaintedFreehand patterns painted one tile at a time, in the blue-on-white tradition Khurja is known for and in contemporary palettes.
Geometric & ReliefPressed from hand-carved moulds with a raised profile, so a single-colour wall still reads as textured under raking light.
Plain & Solid GlazeSingle-colour handmade tiles with the soft edges and slight tonal drift that separate hand-pressed from machine-made.
Patchwork AssortmentsCoordinated mixed cartons designed to be laid randomly — the easiest way to stock or specify a handmade wall.

The range

16 tile designs

Specifications, formats and carton quantities are open to everyone. Pricing is shown to approved business customers.

Pricing is for approved business customers

Lasaki Ceramics supplies to businesses only. Rates depend on your buyer category and order volume, so we show them once your mobile number is approved.

Before you order

Specifying a handmade tile run

  1. 1

Order the full area in one batch

Tiles painted months apart differ more than tiles from the same run. We cannot guarantee an exact match on a later top-up, so measure the whole area first.

  2. 2

    Allow around 10% overage

Standard practice for any tile, and more important here — a replacement tile ordered later will not match precisely.

  3. 3

    Request samples before committing

Colour on a screen is not colour on a wall. We send physical samples so you and your client can see the real glaze and variation.

  4. 4

Tell your customer what to expect

A buyer expecting machine uniformity will read variation as a defect. A buyer who understands it chooses handmade because of it. Set that expectation at the point of sale.

Custom manufacturing

Your pattern, our kiln

We manufacture tiles to a customer's specification — a pattern from your own artwork, a glaze matched to a brief, a non-standard format, or a full private-label range for a tile retailer.

Custom tile work carries higher minimum quantities and longer lead times than the catalogue range. Send us your artwork or reference and we will come back with a specification, a sample plan and a quote.
