Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Lasaki Step Up Pvt Ltd (“Lasaki Ceramics”, “we”) collects through lasakiceramics.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We sell to businesses, so most of the information we hold is business contact information.

What we collect

When you request business access or place an order, we collect:

• Your name and the name of your business
• Your mobile number — this is also your login identifier for the website
• Your email address, if you provide one
• Billing and delivery addresses, and GSTIN if supplied
• Your order history and the products you have bought

When you use the website we also record technical information: your IP address, browser type and the pages you view. We use this to keep the site secure and to understand which products buyers are looking for.

How we use it

• To verify that you are a genuine business buyer before granting pricing access
• To give you a password so you can sign in, and re-send it if you forget it
• To process, confirm and deliver your orders
• To send order confirmations and status updates by SMS and email
• To respond to your enquiries
• To detect and prevent fraud and abuse of the website

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Your sign-in password

When your account is approved, our team gives you a 6-digit password, usually by WhatsApp. It is valid for six months, after which we issue a new one. We keep it in two forms: a one-way scrambled form, used only to check it when you sign in, and an encrypted copy, so that our authorised staff can re-send it if you forget it. Both are protected by a key kept separately from our database. Every time a member of our staff views your password, that is recorded with their name.

After repeated wrong attempts, sign-in on your number pauses for a while. If you think somebody else knows your password, tell us and we will issue a new one straight away.

Who we share it with

We share the minimum necessary with service providers who help us operate: WhatsApp, when we send you your password through it, our SMS gateway (for order updates), our email provider (to send confirmations), and transporters (delivery address and contact number, so they can deliver your order). We may disclose information where required by law.

How long we keep it

• Order records — retained as long as required for tax and statutory purposes.
• Account information — retained while your account is active, and afterwards only as needed for legal and accounting obligations.
• Sign-in attempts — the number entered, the time and the connection, kept for 90 days for security.
• Technical logs — retained for a limited period for security monitoring.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Session cookies are HttpOnly and marked Secure in production. Staff passwords are stored as salted hashes, and customer passwords as described above. Access to customer and pricing data inside our administration system is restricted by role, and privileged actions are recorded in an audit log.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies that are necessary for the site to work: one to keep you signed in, and one to keep your cart. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your choices

You can ask us to correct or update your information, ask for a copy of what we hold, or ask us to close your account. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable period.
